My screen scratches easily. What can I do to protect it?

With the Palm Pilots and the Windows CE machines, the screen can be easily scratched. The Visor also suffers this problem, but is no worse (or better) than the others.

More Information

With the Palm Pilots and the Windows CE machines, the screen can be easily scratched. The Visor also suffers this problem, but is no worse (or better) than the others. An option is to buy a screen protector. There are many different brands, but just make sure you purchase the right sized protector. Or you can make your own from the instructions on Tony Jest's page. (Thanks to Larry for the heads up.) I personally don't use screen protectors, and just cover the graffitti portion (since that's the area most likely to be scratched), with 3/4 inch Scotch Satin Tape. Also, make sure your stylus is nice and smooth. Some styli have a small ridge of plastic that may tend to scratch the screen.
