Symbol's Springboard module

Tuesday May 2, 2000 - 6:14 PM EST - By James Hromadka

Busy day for Springboard announcements. Symbol announced today its barcode scanning Springboard module for the Handspring Visor. From the press release:
The Handspring Visor with the Symbol scanning module is ideal for a number of existing and future e-commerce applications. It's perfect for home shopping, where mobile consumers are no longer limited to a stationary PC. Users can simply scan a bar coded item or a referring bar code in a preprinted menu or advertisement and connect via a modem, personal computer or other communication device to a participating e-tailer and seamlessly complete the transaction.
Now we just need the QLModule to be released.
