Can't wait for the Pokémon Visor! Wednesday August 2, 2000 - 1:54 AM EST - By James Hromadka If you were looking for more proof that handhelds have arrived in the consumer market (besides Handspring's widespread acceptance), here it is: Palm and supermodel Claudia Schiffer announced today that there will be a special edition Palm Vx that has a blue-brushed aluminum casing and software that she is "personally selecting" for a CD that will come with the handheld. "Palm is a company I admire for its devotion to making sophisticated technology simple and accessible to everyone," said Schiffer. "I am excited to be working with Palm to bring fashion to technology and extend its reach to the wider population."C|Net also has a story on this exciting news item.
