VinnyGreat Heavy Duty Case!

Thumbs Up

I got my Otterbox today and have been very happy since I removed the bubble tape it was shipped in. It has VERY solid construction feel to it--and the two snap hinges are very firm and high quality. The inside is lined with a very thing foam liner. I put in a piece of foam on top to keep it from sliding and I keep an extra stylus (my old stock one that I don't use anymore now that I have a PDA Panache) in there too. I really like it so far. This will be keeping my BVx safe from the minions of evil from hurting my Visor when its in my bookbag. I'm glad I got the 2K instead of the 3K. This size is "just right". I really don't see a need for the cord--so I will probably remove that soon. All in all a very good product indeed and would recommend it for any high shock carrying needs. It's a good piece of mind to know I don't have to be weary of my Visor anymore!

ChronosGreat Protection

Thumbs Up

I use an Otterbox to protect my Visor when my Ti slider isn't appropriate (camping, hiking, etc). I was shopping in a Hudson Bay Outfitters in Bethesda, MD and happened across these boxes- I was about to order one from the web! James' review is right on. I place a pack of spare batteries into the case to help hold my IVDx in place.

Thumbs Up

I have had an otterbox long before I bought a Visor, and have found it a great case for travel, camping, and any outdoor activity. Very useful when your Visor needs to be packed up in a duffel bag or backpack.

tylerThis box is a perfect "protection" case.

Thumbs Up

I bought this case to keep in my backpack for those occasions when I need a place to keep my Visor safe in "extreme" conditions. Before this pruchase I always wanted to put the Visor in my backpack, but knew that crush potential was to high. Now I can pop the Visor into the Otter 2000, and throw (literally) this into my backpack with no fear of how the contents of my backpack get treated. As James points out in the review, it is certainly not a take-everywere case, but it is a PERFECT -- and inexpensive I might add -- occasional-use, protection case.

My son uses his Visor at HS and this is perfect for carrying it in his backpack. Any other case may get banged around in normal HS wear and tear, but there is no worry of his back pack getting kicked or dropped, etc. with an Otterbox. He used to be concerned everyday taking the Visor to school wondering if today would be the day it would get dropped and/or cracked, no more. He is so satisfied we ordered a OB 3000 for his TI graphing calc, which fits that fine. My wife has instructed him to show the OB to his cousin who although Visor-less has managed to break two(!) TI's so far this year. OB's for everyone in the family! Stat!

BirdiePorsche performance at a VW price.

Thumbs Up

I use the Visor plastic snap cover and add a 0.25 inch thick sheet of foam to keep the visor from sliding around in the case. I guess this is overkill after reading about the "eight foot drop test". Recently used the OtterBox for an extended UK trip. It handled a few backpack drops and a great deal of rain like a champ. I am starting to think this should be my daily carry case when my Visor is in my briefcase.
