User Opinions: OmniRemote

AxemanDon't forget the Macros!

Thumbs Up

The BEST feature of the OmniRemote is the macro support. With the tap of 1 button you can, for example, turn on your VCR, TV, and Receiver, and set the VCR to "TV mode." I use 1 macro to do this and another to do the same thing but to put my system in "DVD mode." To me, this is the the killer reason to get the OmniRemote. I've had mine for a week now & love it. Also, you can tie a macro to a timer. I haven't used this feature, but it could be useful if you wanted to, say, have the TV in your bedroom turn itself on to wake you up to your favorite morning news program.
