No, this module is not used for the OS, but as additional storage space for programs and files. With the installation of the Flash Module, total memory on a Visor Deluxe increases to 16 Mb (!). Unfortunately, some software does not function properly in FlashROM. However, it seems that most programs and files which are not continually modified will function properly in Flash. For example, a document in FlashROM can be read but not bookmarked or edited.
