More Information Well, USB ports are MUCH faster than standard RS-232 serial ports and usually are simpler to use. With the Visor HotSyncs are up to 4 times faster - partial HotSyncs with the USB cradle are measured in tens of seconds rather than minutes with a serial cradle. Unfortunately, only people with Mac OS 8.6 or higher (or slightly older versions if you're lucky), along with Windows 98 and 2000 users, can use the USB cradle. Win95 does NOT support USB with the Visor, whether or not the Win95 USB drivers are installed. WinNT does not support USB period, and never will. Fortunately, for those lacking USB compatibility, one can purchase an extra serial cradle. |
