Opinions: Titanium (Ti) Slider Hardcase
Doctor J | I've cracked my last screen! |
| If you carry your Visor around in your pocket, this case is indispensible. I added two small pieces of Velcro; it makes the case a little harder to close, but it keeps the Visor from falling out. |
Anonymous | chicks dig it |
| Okay, so, one day I was like in this mall, you know. and all these, chicks came running up asking if they could touch it! Lots and lots of chicks came, even roosters and other forms of foul. Not even one could penetrate the super-duper tough Rhinoskin! |
EagleBeagle | Unbreakable!! |
| Previously, I had a Rhinoskin ShockSuit case. After it had dropped my VDx about 12 times(fortunately with no damage), I got this case. Nothing will happen to my VDx in this case. The Superman of Visor Cases! |
dsaroff | Pricey, with some flaws, but a tank |
| After owning the TI for 2 months, I find it indespensible for travelling and packing around. I don't worry about it getting crushed, anymore. Complaints: pressure on the scroll buttons scratch the buttons; space for business cards only holds two (max); I am a bit dubious that the case wouldn't pop open if dropped; PRICEY. Would I buy it again...yes. |
William Tanksley | Decent product, terrible company |
| My Ti Slider does protect my Visor when it's kept closed all the time, but the loose neoprene (others have mentioned) make it dangerous to open. Far worse, however, are the sharp corners; they'll destroy anything you keep near them (like your pockets).
The final insult for me was that Rhinoskin only offers a 10-day warrantee on the Slider. Um... TEN DAYS? For this price they should guerantee it for at least a year. Their tech support takes about five days to respond to a request (they offered to send me better Neoprene); however, by the time I'd get the neoprene the warantee would have run out. I'm not willing to be locked into that kind of relationship; I'm sending mine right back, with extreme prejudice. |
Santiago | Not What I Expected |
| When I finally got it, I was slightly disappointed. When I understood it to be shot-preened titanium I expected a slicker case. In fact it looks fairly dull, like a cheap metal and fingerprints show up on it. Furthermore the business card cut-out is nothing more than a shallow place for a couple of cards. Not handy for a credit card, ATM and driver's license. I have returned it and will most likely get a leather zippered case. |
Anonymous | Works Great |
| I cracked an LCD once but I will never do that again! |
Brian | Great protection and compact |
| I have a friend who has the previous version of this hardcase and Rhinoskin has really reduced the overall size of the slider case. I'm very impressed with this and its weight. The only drawback I've found to this case is that center buttons on my Visor came in contact with the inside of the cover and scratched the buttons slightly. I remedied this by placing a sticker inside where they make contact to prevent future scratches. |
wayne | great and easy to use |
| I liked the durability and ease of use. My only issues are that it's ir port slot is not compatible with the Visor. the slot is on the top not the side. I used my Dremel to cut out a corrisponding slot.
My other issue is that the neoprene doesn't really hold the Visor in the case securely, if held at an odd angle the Visor will fall out. and finally the belt clip case that rhinoskins sells with it is a litle small to fit the case.
But other then that its a great Handheld. I can keep it in my pocket and not have to give it a second thought. |
BEN | The Best protective case around |
| THis has got to be the best case for anyone using their visor in any intensive locastion. So far this case has protected me Visor from so many falls that it's paid itself back 100x. |
