Opinions: Stowaway Keyboard
Galley_SimRacer | Amazing product |
| The design is the coolest thing about the Stowaway. Definitely one of those "wow" priducts. The Stowaway does have a good tactile feel, and I can type very fast on it. |
Dirk | Wouldn't be without it! |
| My wife got me one just over a week ago & already I miss it if I forget to carry it.
A must have. |
taselba | Great addition to your Visor |
| This thing just flat does exactly what they say it does. I wouldn't be without it. |
Ramius | Case for your keyboard |
| If you have the stowaway keyboard, you must have this beautiful Clip Pak Beltcase from RhinoSkin, it perfectly fits the keyboard.

Brandon | great product! |
| this is one innovative product. i got this only a week or so after recieving my vdx, and i use them together all the time. the keyboard is perfect: thin, well built, and plenty of good features. i highly recommend it. |

| ... Get It!
Wish list:
1. Come with a case with a handstrap or belt loop.
2. Internal storage place for spare stylus.
3. 'Cheat sheet' sticker for key short cuts, etc.
Otherwise- Wow! What a great device! |
bookrats | A treat |
| Use this keyboard with WordSmith, and you have the smallest portable real word processor anywhere. A treat! |
Soul Raven | Another nail in the laptop's coffin |
| As soon as I get a Springboard modem, the laptop stays at home. Next to my 8MB Flash module, it is my most used accessory. I am trying to figure out how I got along without it. |
David Reed | It works, it's small, and it beats graffiti. |
| The keyboard is simply amazing. |
Alan | If you write memos, you must have! |
| While I find it a bit awkward to use my Stowaway in most applications, for writing memos, it's a must!
I was a bit wary about docking my VDx to the Stowaway after I read the reviews, but I didn't need to be. The fragile looking pins are no hindrance after a little practice.
I might wish for more screen control from the keyboard, but that's an OS issue, not a Stowaway issue.
I was not one to make good use of the memo feature of the Visor, but the convenience of the unit, combined with the utility of WordSmith software (obtained elsewhere), has rekindled my freelance writing fire. I expect to do a lot more writing on airplanes, now!
