Opinions: Trio Stylus
jj | Nice feel, weight |
| The stylus has a good solid feel and weight. Only problem is that it rattles. |

| Is their ANY Visor-related product the reviewers here DONT recommend? I guess not, now that this site is a Visor Store.
I need to look up the definition of "independent." |
Brian | Poor quality |
| I originally purchased a PDA Panache Trio stylus and ended up being very disappointed with the product. The stylus worked great. The pen was too fine and didn't write very smoothly. The pencil was the worst. The lead was constantly breaking making it unusable. Eventually, the pencil jammed and would not retract into the case. The only real positive is that PDA Panache promptly refunded my money when I returned the faulty pen. I then purchased a Stylus+ with four tips--pen, pencil, underliner, and stylus. I have been much happier with this product! The pencil and pen are both of higher quality and the underliner is a nice addition. The oversize of the Stylus+ is smaller and it was actually cheaper the PDA Panache Trio Stylus. |
Cynical | Nice product but... |
| While the weight feels good especially with the stylus, the pencil tip is somewhat sub-par. If you're used to precision 0.5mm's like I am, you'll notice that the lead is a little loose in the tip, the tip is probably 0.55mm or 0.6mm. Sounds like not a big deal but I draw diagrams with a 0.5mm and it makes a difference to me. |
Anonymous | Great Stylus |
| i've had mine for about seven months, enjoying it the whole time. never had a major problem with it, especially the way i treat the thing. although led does break if you don't take the time to retract it slowly. |
fred | Works Great |
| Have had mine about a month, no problems. Quality job, I think it is as good as the Rotring pen that costs a lot more. |
t_huebs | nothing but cheap |
| i found that all i ever used the trio for was a bigger stylus than usual. i still wound up carrying a pen pencil and the trio...why you ask? because the lead was inevitably broken...the pen was worthless and the clip disappeared about a week after i got it. a week later almost all of the paint to tell what you're selecting was chipped or rubbed off. |
Anonymous | Fell apart in my hands |
| After using the Trio for about three days, the clip popped off, flew across the room and almost hit a co-worker in the head!! While I love their replacement Visor stylus, this thing is too complex and flimsy to hold up to ant amount of serious use. I now have two styli and a pen in my deluxe case. Never breaks, works great!! |
Chicagowonk | Just three options, that's nothing |
| I've had a Y & C quad point for more then 8 years, I just bought a sylus for the blue pen and - low and behold - entered the computer age. I have never had an issue with the lead breaking (however, it may not be the pen - the lead may just be brittle...)

JohnKes | Looks great, works great |
| The pen and stylus tips work great! Very smooth action.
The pencil works well when the lead is not broken.
The pencil must be slowly retracted to not break the lead.
Don't drop it either. The lead will break, even when retracted.
The rubberized grip works well - a nice touch.
Got mine almost a year ago. Still happy. |
