Palmtop case (PP10)
Using the work-through case As the Visor is stored inside the water-proof case, the stylus is stored in a sleeve on the outside. In the pictures here you can see an orange stylus sticking out where the sleeve is. There is no visible Ir port, but I don't see this as a concern. I don't plan on beaming contacts while on the open seas! The beltclip is black and makes a slight squeaking noise when pressing its release button. It is very thin but lets me quickly attach and remove the Visor, and I was very pleasantly surprised that there was one for this type of case. It makes the PP10 very useful for work areas that are dirty. This case won't win any beauty contests, but you'll be able to keep score for any contest on the water or at the beach. (Volleyball fanatics, this is the case for you!) What
makes the PP10 valuable is the fact that it is a write-through case.
Other water-proof cases like the Otter
Box 2000 require that you remove the Visor, making it vulnerable, but
the PP10 doesn't have this problem. Writing through the case is less
accurate than normal because the cover causes more friction as you're writing,
but I didn't find this to be a serious problem. If you have any WriteRights
or other screen protection, you may want to remove them from the Visor's
screen to improve handwriting while using the PP10. |
