Opinions: Matching case - all colors
dianeholly | great looking, high quality case! |
| I just received my blue matching case and I love it -- the design, the size, the feel of the black leather. Just one problem -- the leather on the spine, the blue area, appears to be cracking up. When I removed it from the box, I could even see white areas where the blue leather had peeled away. Fortunately, the nice guys at Handspring customer service insisted that this was not the norm and kindly agreed to send me a replacement case.
Assuming the average matching case doesn't have this problem, I recommend it highly. |
Nathan Silva | Until Coach makes a Visor case, this is the one to get. |
| Sort of thick but feels good. Substantial yet portable.
It's obviously supposed to be a designer case rather than a highly functional one. You can store a few business cards in there but not much else. Good quality leather. Would look great in a corporate meeting type setting.
So get this one for the board meeting and a nerdy belt clip case for your day-to-day work. |
Harry | Quality at a low cost! |
| I recently purchased the EB Slipper Visor and hated it. I even cut out little holes for the buttons in the plastic cover. Hot syncing was annoying as well. My blue leather matching case arrived two days ago, and I really like it. It doesn't add too much bulk, which I was worried about. It looks like it ought to be able to protect the Visor if I drop it. I like how the Visor pops out when I hotsync it. At $38.95 it wasn't bad. |
Anonymous | Nice piece, good quality, unique |
| I love it! It's unique and different from all the other plain black/brown cases out there! The snap button works like a charm. |
Glenn C. Hay-Roe | Good case for the price. |
| I've had a Green Matching case for some time to go with my Graphite Visor Deluxe, and I really enjoy it. Good protection, nice and small, and pretty classy looking. The green and black are a nice contrast, go well with the Graphite, and provide a little "something different" from the normal all-black cases out there. One drawback, not much room for anything more than a few business cards. |
Trew | Excellent value (and Anonymous is a jackass) |
| I've had an orange matching case for a couple of
months. It has broken in nicely, and has the look and feel of
quality. It offers the screen good protection, and
is about as small as it could be (which is why
there is no space in it for all the stuff that is normally
in your wallet). At $29.95 it is 5 bucks *less* than
the foam Rhinoskin Shocksuit (but at least 20 bucks nicer -- the
shocksuit is awful. I sent mine back within minutes of
receiving it). All in all, I am very happy with it.
Hey "Anonymous" (very clever) -- you prolly think
you're pretty clever in getting your one negative review
to count three times and therefore skew the survey. It's a
disservice to the Visor community, and your comments make me wonder if you
even own one of these cases. Do you work for a competing casemaker, by any chance?
If there's a Visor Central administrator lurking -- how about removing 2 of the 3 votes
that this bozo cast?

Handspring | Good |
| Very Very Nice, Buy it. N-O-W! |
tjs114 | nice, but could be better. |
| while i appreciate how well built this little case is; as a
franklin day planner convert, i miss the storage space my dayplanner
had; you know, all that garbage you collect with each day. Silly things
like the mail, stamps, business cards. And could we possible have made this
thing so it would close when you purchase it? It took nearly two days of having
the empty case sit under a dictionary before the snap would stay closed.
And the logo on the front is a simple plastic stick-on, not embroidered. |
Anonymous | chunky! |
| way too big |
Anonymous | too big |
| too big. Who wants to carry around something that big..My visor fits nicely in my pocket, thanks. :) |
