Opinions: Handspring Plastic Beltclip
jclarke4 | I don't like the "exposure" |
| I prefer the Covertec "Liberator" belt clip for the Palm 3 it fits my Visor like a glove...
you can find them @

Anonymous | Great for low impact situations |
| I think the big misconception about this product is that it's for everyone; where in reality it's only good in certain situations. I'm a salesman and for me, its absolutely indispensible. Being able to draw my visor quickly when needed and having a small, convenient case, is worth every penny of the price. Make no mistake though, this is not an all purpose case. It's no good for jogging and probably no good for school either. A good value for my dollar, even with the flimsy clip. |
Anonymous | Get the Franklin Covey e-pocket belt clip. |
| My wife thinks I'm nuts. I tried several belt clips, never satified until I got the e-pocket belt clip from Franklin Covey. It is the best "I will never change". It also has a 1 year unconditional guarantee againist any defeft in craftsmanship. No, I'm not a salesman for this product. |
Kirk | Great with swivel clip |
| I'm glad the built-in clip broke off because I now put on a swivel clip that lets me use it in interchangeable swivel belt clips along with my cell phone - I wouldn't be without it now! |
Thornkin | The beltclip is just what I was looking for |
| I've had my Visor and Beltclip for several months now and it's still working great. I really like the beltclip because it makes the visor very accessible. It protects the vital area of the Visor (the screen) but isn't too large. I just slip it onto the pocket of my jeans and away I go. |
Aleks | The clip broke after 2 weeks |
| Like for most people who reviewed this, my clip broke off shortly after I bought it. I would have quickly returned it to Handspring, but I was on a two-week vacation which carried over the warranty period and I couldn't send it back.
Do NOT get this case, read the comments above if you have any doubts. Mine broke off while getting out of the car, and before you ask, I'm slim and 5'8", and I carry plenty of pagers and cell phones that didn't break off. This case is simply way too flimsy, the hinges are two tiny pieces of molded plastic, unilke the Plam cases with metal hinges. |
tym43 | Almost great, but... |
| The case itself works well, your Visor
stays handy and easy to retrieve. The
case seemd plenty secure, my Visor never
came out unexpectedly. The problems is
the flimsy plastic clip. It broke after
only two weeks. If Handspring would make
this case with a sturdy swivel clip I buy
it again. Now I have a Vaja case and love
it. |
Anonymous | just replace the clip |
| I broke the clip after a month.
I ordered a new one and, while
waiting for it to arrive, bought a
cell phone swivel clip and attached
it to the case. My new case is in
the closet. I've been using the
swivel clip ever since.

Graham Fairbank | Very Handy Item, too fragile |
| After about 1 week, the flimsy plastic clip broke off this otherwise very practical case... HS accepted return graciously, though.

Bjmarler | Clip too flimsy & no swivel |
| I broke the clip getting in and out of my car because the clip does not swivel. I then purchased the EB slipper case. LOVE IT!!! The clip not only swivels, it detatches if needed. Just about the best case I've seen yet. Not the best for protection, but great at everything else |
