Opinions: FullCharge
R. Kuehn | Sounds Good but what about 220Volt? |
| I work in the UK and would be interested if a 220 Volt version were available in the future. I use NiCd batteries because I have not been able to find NiMH batteries here or a charger for the AAA type NiMH. |
Jeff Meyer | Not worth the $$ |
| It doesn't look like a bad product, but it's not useful enough to justify the price. I have 3 pairs of NiMH batteries and an excellent $12 Radio Shack wall charger; it's been very easy to rotate batteries once every week and a half for my Visor. I keep a spare pair in my backpack. The entire cost of the recharger and batteries was ~$22 -- considerably cheaper than the FullCharge unit. |
BudPritchard | Very useful product |
| Ordering today!!!
Nice thing about the product is the ability to pull the battery pack and insert regular batteries in an emergency (away from a charging source).
Available Vehicle charger is a plus.

Anonymous | beside the late delivery, very good |
| Shipped late but once I installed, I am very pleased with the ease and great battery life it provides. |
gunjinn | Waiting for mine now |
| I anxiously waited until after the initial shipping to avoid a delay. Now I'm ordered and waiting. This should be on the short list of accessories to buy. |
Dsmil | Absolutely Terrific |
| This charger is terrific. Very easy to install. Visor weight is slightly heavier which I don't find to be a problem at all.
The 2 prongs on the charger are not fragile, just use common care. Highly recommended product. |
David Raflo | Very Pleased |
| This will save me money in the first year alone. It will probably do the same for you if you use your Visor as much as do my VDX.
Hopefully in Handsprings next OS upgrade patch they will incorporate NiMh capability and a user friendly battery/power panel rather than just the .7 shortcut |
Anonymous | Works flawlessly |
| The full charge works as advertised. Plug your Visor in at night, and forget about batteries forever. I had no problems getting the battery pack installed. |
gcorson | Excellent Investment |
| I have loved my Visor Deluxe for over a year, and use it as much as possible. My only complaint was the cost of alkaline batteries, which were eaten by E-Books and extended game playing.
I am so happy with my Full-Charge that I anticipate buying them as gifts. After the initial installation (care required), they are essentially maintenance free. You just plug it in at night or in the car, and the battery level stays up in the 90-100% level consistently. Just like the Visor, the initial receipt was slightly delayed but absolutely worth waiting for.
The only time I anticipate removing the battery is when I purchase a Platinum somewhere down the road. The eXtend Computer people filled a needed niche, and I hope they grow rich while they save my battery money. |
John Nowak | Fragility |
| I have this, and only have two worries:
First, the charger has two very thin, long prongs that look very damage prone. I bought some toothbrush covers to protect the charger prongs when not in use.
Second, while I will not be swapping alkalines and the Extend on a daily basis, I will be doing it periodically, when travelling; I'd rather carry a pack of AAAs than another cord. I'm concerned that the Extend battery spring might snap when I'm taking it out.
Of course, I had similar concerns about my Stowaway, and no problems there, so you can take this with a grain of salt. |
