MatchBookDrive and FAFileMover
Conclusion If you've been aching for it, it has begun. The addition of a CompactFlash Adapter in the form of the MatchBookDrive is a dream come true. It's a little fragile, but it is simple and well-made. The combination of the $30-$35 MatchBook Drive, and the $10 FAFileMover software still comes in cheaper than either the Backup Module or the Flash Adapter. If you have Compact Flash Cards already and have been looking for a way to use them, this is it. The only real caveat to this combination is (and with many modules) to always exit to the main Applications Launcher before removing the MatchBookDrive. Kopsis Engineering is hoping to continue development on a "FAAutoMover" application that will make the integration of CF into a Visor even more seamless. If you are a novice Visor user, be aware that this solution as it sits does add a level of complexity to the use of your Visor. But, if you are used to simple File Managment tasks like "what file is where," you'll be fine. The clean interface of the FAFileMover is easy to use. If you have a CF Card in a MatchBookDrive in your Visor, be prepared for Geeks on the bus to sit down and ask you "what the heck kind of
Palm Pilot is that?"
