Healthcare Workers Use Palm Organizers

Wednesday September 15, 1999 - 3:30 AM EST - By James Hromadka

Maybe now HMOs will get better. A company called STATmail!, Inc. has a Palm OS application that the health care industry can use their Palm/Handspring organizers to ordering medical products and for caregiver scheduling and billing.

These applications connect using CDPD wireless technology provided by JP Systems, the same company that is partnering with Widcomm on the Bluetooth module for the Handspring Visor. Connectivity using the Palm VII organizer is planned for early 2000.
