Latest PalmPower Issue

Wednesday September 15, 1999 - 3:30 AM EST - By James Hromadka

The latest issue of PalmPower has a flurry of articles concerning the Visor.

There is a somewhat negative "analysis" by David Gewirtz where he chastises Handspring for making the Visor similar to Palm organizers yet not having pin-out compatibility. The article barely mentions one of the most appealing facets of the Visor - the Springboard - and says nothing about the planned modules (GPS, MP3, etc) for the Visor.

There is a review of the Visor that has some screenshots of the new Datebook+ and Calculator.

PalmPower also has an interview with Handspring's Product Manager, Greg Shirai. One of the most interesting comments is that Handspring does not "have any current plans to license Springboard to Palm."
