Garmin Licenses Palm OS Monday January 8, 2001 - 8:52 PM EST - By James Hromadka Garmin Corporation announced today that it has licensed the Palm operating system for use in a new line of handheld products that incorporates Garmin's GPS hardware and software. It seems that ever since the U.S. government increased non-military GPS accuracy that there has been an explosion of GPS devices developed. I think that we will see within the next few years GPS units become standard in automobiles as the technology becomes more prolific. |
