A printer for the Visor Saturday April 7, 2001 - 8:07 PM EST - By James Hromadka Datecs has designed a thermal printer for the Handspring Visor. The PP-50 connects to the Visor's USB/serial port and prints at 203 dpi at a speed of 50 mm/sec. The PP-50 printer comes with Print Manager, Font Manager, and Screen Pad software and is powered by a rechargeable battery pack of 5 AA batteries or an A/C adapter. Users can print from any of the Visor's main applications or print screenshots from 3rd-party applications. The PP-50 is somewhat big, at 7.68" x 1.97" x 3.35" and 14.8 oz., but it could be very convenient for point-of-sale purposes. |
