SmartMedia Springboard Adapter Wednesday December 20, 2000 - 5:59 AM EST - By Marcus Adolfsson  Out from nowhere comes Portable Innovation Technology's MemPlug, a Springboard Smartmedia adapter which acts as a bridge between the industrial standard Smartmedia and the Visor.
MemPlug supports all the 3.3V Smartmedia in the market - commonly found are 8, 16, 32 and 64Mb versions. Several applications are bundled with the module: Backup – Backup your entire Visor with a click of a button and store the SmartMediaCard away from your Visor. File Mover - Store your Palm OS apps and databases onto the SmartMediaCard onboard and free up space for other applications. JPEG Viewer - View JPEG files in the SmartMediaCard directly. View pictures taken by your SmartMedia compatible Digital Still Camera on your Visor. Installer - Install any of the TOP-50 favorite Palm OS applications with a click of a button. In addition, MemPlug enables your Visor to interchange information (Files, Pictures, Documents, etc.) with other SmartMedia card enabled electronic devices like Digital Cameras, Personal Computers and MP3 Players.
